The Type 97 is a semi-automatic, magazine fed, gas operated bullpup. It is the civilian version of the QBZ-95, the standard issue rifle for the Peoples Liberation Army. The bullpup design allows it to retain an 18.6" barrel length in a relatively compact package, allowing for better maneuverability in tight spaces and less fatigue to the shooter without sacrificing velocity and reach.
The NSR G3 version features an M-Lok front handguard, flip up sights and full top rail. The NSR G3 also has an ambidextrous magazine release, non reciprocating side charging handle that is reversible.
